Stevens Bikes Canada had athletes from both the women’s and men’s team out racing on Sunday. Sue Schlatter took the Ontario Provincial Champion title with a time of 56 minutes and 1 second for the 40 kilometre course. Canadian National Champion Clara Hughes did win the event with a time of 54 minutes and 28 seconds but holds a Quebec license. Tricia Spooner racing for Stevens Bikes finished in the bronze medal position with a time of 1 hour 56 seconds. On the men’s side, the provincial title was won by Aaron Fillion (Ride with Rendall) with a blistering time of 49 minutes and 44 seconds. Stevens Bikes Canada racer Shawn Clarke in 13th position (57 minutes and 51 seconds) in the elite men’s competition. Racing Eddy Merckx style, Stephen Keeping finished in 6th position in the men’s sportif category with a time of 57 minutes and 51 seconds.
